Who… R… U?…

This is the first post of a category called ‘Media Moments’. We’re constantly bombarded by the media, putting their messages in our faces as often as they can manage.

It’s intensely interesting to me some of the messages that come across. Many directors try to put a moral into their story. Well, I’d like to point them out as we go along, here.

Alice in Wonderland is a great story, both in book & movie form. Disney’s is my favorite version of the movie. Our young heroine, Alice, has found herself in a strange world where nothing seems to make sense. She runs into a surly caterpillar, sitting atop a mushroom. Calmly smoking away on his pipe, he notices her.

“Who are you?” he asks.

“Well, I… I hardly know, sir. I’ve changed so many times since this morning, you see.”

Wait! Stop! That’s enough for now. There’s material enough here to write books. Oh wait, there have been. Books and books and books. But now, I’m going to ask the question of YOU.

Who are you?

You see, the people who will benefit most from this site are those who are interested in change. In changing. You may say, “Well, I want peace. I just want to feel peaceful. I wasn’t really coming here to change myself.”

Peace comes with change, and vice versa. If you haven’t achieved the peace you’d like by doing what you’ve been doing, then it’s time to DO something different. I want to reach out to you who are taking action in your life. Or you who want to but are not sure what to do.

Our society would buy peace and eat it like we would a bag of M&M’s if we could. Many peddlers of products would have us think that we can. But let me say boldly, the creation of Peace, true Peace, is a conscious process, and a concerted effort. No one arrives at truly fulfilling change in their lives without feeling EVERY STEP along the way–Joyous and painful as it may be.

I could say more. So much more. And I probably will, but there’s plenty of time for that. Peace to you in your journey. May you have all the help you need along the way.
